This very study solid oak 1950s sideboard came to me covered in years of silicone polish and very dark varnish.
It got stripped back and began to breathe again. Revealing it’s natural gorgeous light oak tone. It was fed many times with Osmo oil, and then i started to redesign it.
I’ve picked out the frame and other apart in black eggshell and painted the side panels and barley twist front legs in a mid sagey green. also eggshell.
It’s not a massive sideboard so isn’t too cumbersome. Would look fab in a dining room or lounge.
Good storage in the bottom cupboard which is one whole open space when doors open.
the two top drawers are handy and have been lined with original 1940s green and white floral wallpaper. exactly the same green as paint on the outside of piece.
The whole piece has been subtlety highlighted in copper.
And lastly the handles and door latch are all original and are absolutely fabulous iron bunches of grapes!
Please feel welcome to come and view if you are thinking about this piece.
It’s now ready to find its forever home.
