Original Mid Century 1960s Round Glass Top Coffee Table

This piece ahs been completely stripped back.

The classic tan orange varnish on this piece had really soaked into the veneer, almost  clogging up its beautiful subtle grain. so I had to resort on bleaching it at the beginning of the process. Not a nice product but it was so worth it. I’ve really got my desired final finish.

It has also had many many fine sanding moments in-between coats to get an even tone that I was satisfied with.

The legs and frame were also covered in orange tan varnish so they have been refinished in a classic black Eggshell finish 20% sheen to highlight the classic mid century satellite and G.Plan style.

This is not G Plan but Cleary in the style of.. It has a makers stamp on the bottom. I’m trying to decipher it at the moment. I’ll keep you posted.

Original glass. A few light scratches here and there but nothing major and this will be reflected in my price. You could easily order a brand new piece if you so wished. As it has the perfect diameter which i will give you. But i could easily live with the condition it is in.
