Black, Ochre and gold What Not Hand painted flowers

Description

This vintage What Not was covered in orange varnish. It needed a serious Refunk. I was desperate to highlight its fabulous curves and details. So I stripped it down and got creative.

once stripped back i choose a black eggshell finish paint for the base colour and highlighted the upright turned spindles in a deep caramel – ochre colour with a touch of gold.

My redesign was then lending itself to a chinoiserie style so i hand painted a cream floral vine to the bottom two shelves on each left hand corner.

A completely unique piece and would fit in a living area or hallway perfectly.

It also has a very handy small drawer lined in velvet.
