Old pine Grey Shelves

Description

These rather unusual original pitch pine shelves had the most amount of layers of gloss I’ve ever found on a piece to be honest. This is not a slight on the the lovely lady that used to own them at all. I actually love the fact that she was such a thorough painter, and left hardly any brush strokes i might add! Which is no mean feat with the old layers of gloss paints i found.

I stripped them back to let them breathe again and fed them. And then repainted in two tones of Farrow and Ball light greys.

Could stand on floor but would sing on a wall.
