Well this was a gorgeous find on my sourcing mission this week.
This an original pre 1960s Malaysian extremely large chandelier. Made from Capiz shell discs with pearl and brass details.
This is very much in the style of ‘Verner Panton’ but i know it was purchased from Malaysia many moons ago.
The centre of the chandelier has three Capiz globe shades hanging at different intervals on the way down the middle of the chandelier.
It’s currently being untangled and will then be seen to by an electrian to re wire. I will add a fabric gold cord to the middle pendants that light up.
It’s in fantastic condition.
Will need an extremely high stairwell or room to hang it is roughly 2.5 metres long.
Here’s my mum helping me to untangle this Fabulous beauty. Then for a clean to bring back each shells shimmer.
