“‘Angie’….You’re beautifullll”
This curvaceous 1970s original Mid Century dressing table has been completely stripped back and refinished in Osmo oil. She was extremely dry, her wooden body hadn’t been fed with anything for a long time. So she really shone when the Osmo was applied. Back to her former glory.
‘Angie’ had her original knobs and sexy classic mid century style legs painted in Little Greene paint ‘Jack Black’ eggshell. This has a very low sheen. ‘Angie’ has curves in all of the right places.
Her three quaint but deep and extremely usable top drawers have been treated to being lined with a rare Sanderson ‘Animal Kingdom’ fabric. This too is from the 1970s and hard to come by these days. This fabric is a fabulous animal print rocking tigers, birds, peacocks, deer and glorious trees. A special magical treat every time you open the drawers.
The bottom drawer is extremely deep and wide so would make a great drawer for clothing. This has been lined with a bright mustard colour vintage soft wool fabric.
The mirror has had its frame painted in the same ‘Jack Black’ as ‘Angies’ legs. The mirror swivels on some stunning brass knobs that echo the shape of the knobs perfectly.
‘Angie’ would fit into most room designs as she has a simple yet elegant design. The wood tone is honey. She’s a bit of a stunner is our Ang. If only I had the room.
